Grady L. Woods, AIA, NCARB
Principal Architect

Grady is a registered architect residing in Beaufort, South Carolina. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is currently licensed to practice in multiple states throughout the Southeast. He has completed a very diverse range of projects including custom homes, clubhouses, civic and commercial buildings.

Grady has worked in private practice and with a large corporate firm, but prefers the personal relationship with his clients that a smaller boutique style firm affords.

Grady’s projects include the Harbour Town Clubhouse voted the Most Beautiful Clubhouse in South Carolina and Golf Inc. Magazines Best New Clubhouse in 2016.

Grady earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) and has served as an adjunct professor in the architecture department.

He has been an elected official for over 16 years and serves on many boards and commissions.

In addition to enjoying being an architect Grady is a proud father and husband. He is active in the community, is a private pilot, enjoys boating and is an avid cyclist. He has ridden thousands of miles in the SC Lowcountry and Appalachian Mountains of Western NC. He hopes one day to cycle across the USA.

Hunter Dendy, AIA, NCARB
Principal Architect

Hunter is a registered architect in Asheville, North Carolina, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is licensed to practice in multiple states across the Southeast.

His career began in 1998 but his journey to becoming an Architect started much earlier.  As the son of an Architect, Hunter learned to draft and value design by the age of 12 and his apprenticeship began when he was 16.

As an aspiring Architect, he met Grady in 1999 in Charleston and gained an appreciation for designing modern buildings that respect local culture and history, as well as gaining a friend and future business partner.  In 2020, Hunter and Grady rejoined their pursuits to start Woods Dendy Architects.

Hunter is also passionate about building science and energy efficiency and is a licensed Home Energy Rater.  He is considered an expert in the field and provides energy efficiency and green building consulting to contractors and performs building testing and inspections in Western North Carolina for Energy Star and Green Built certifications.  This combined with his artistic design skills gives Hunter a unique position to design integrated buildings that are successful on many fronts.

In his free time, Hunter enjoys spending time with his family hiking, biking, and paddling in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and relaxing on the beaches of South Carolina.
